Precision Steel has become aware of a lottery scam
being run by a group presenting themselves as Officials of the Canadian
Lottery. The fraudulent operation
involves individuals receiving a fake Precision Steel check along with a
request for the recipient to remit, out of their own funds, a lesser amount to
the fake lottery commission to cover so called clearance fees for their
fictitious lottery winnings. Some of the
fake checks illegally use the Precision Steel name and trademarks.
Precision Steel is shocked and disappointed by this
scheme. We have reported this fraudulent
operation to local authorities and we encourage anyone who receives such a
letter to do the same.
